Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions in Reading, PA, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build and own the data platform for fleet telematics, delivering scalable pipelines and cloud data solutions. Onsite contract-to-hire role with a strong emphasis on greenfield architecture and hands-on delivery.

You will design, optimize, and operate data pipelines, work with Snowflake and AWS, and collaborate with data science and product teams to enable analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering with ownership of production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and query optimization.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for large-scale processing.
• Experience with Airflow and cloud data warehouses.
• Snowflake or equivalent cloud warehouse; PostgreSQL experience.
• Hands-on AWS including S3, EMR and Spark processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehouse architecture and secure data sharing.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, DevOps and pipeline reliability.
• Clear, effective communication of technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade data pipelines end-to-end.
• Develop and optimize SQL and PySpark solutions for large-scale processing.
• Tune cloud data warehouse performance, costs, and scheduling as data grows.
• Build data quality checks, monitoring, observability and alerting.
• Partner with data science and product teams on feature engineering and analytics pipelines.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis and documentation.
• Contribute to architecture, tooling and technical direction and communicate tradeoffs.
