Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Data Platform Manager for an onsite role in Reading, PA. You will build a modern data platform from the ground up, hands-on with pipelines, cloud data infrastructure, and data architecture.

Lead production ETL/ELT pipelines, mentor engineers, and collaborate with data science and software teams to deliver reliable data for analytics and ML. This contract-to-hire position offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and managing production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience leading or mentoring data engineers.
• Strong SQL skills and query optimization.
• Proficient in Python and PySpark for large-scale processing.
• Hands-on Snowflake and AWS data infrastructure (S3, EMR/Spark).
• Experience with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design, distributed processing, and scalable architecture.
• Experience with data quality, monitoring, incident response, and production support.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and operation of production data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data solutions using Snowflake, AWS, and Spark.
• Develop workflow orchestration with Airflow.
• Establish data quality checks, monitoring, and dashboards.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes.
• Mentor data engineering team and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Data Science, product, and software teams to enable analytics and ML.
