Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design and scale governance and privacy systems across a world-class data platform. You will own governance, privacy enforcement, and regulatory compliance, partnering with Privacy, Legal, Security, and Trust Engineering.

This role spans ingestion to analytics and ML, mentoring engineers and shaping architecture for a fast-paced, hybrid environment with Seattle or San Francisco hubs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with large-scale distributed computing systems
• 5+ years of experience running live production environments
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals, algorithms and data structures
• Deep hands-on experience with Spark and a modern lakehouse/cloud data warehouse
• Understand data governance and privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA)

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead data governance systems
• Design scalable, secure data models and architectures
• Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Security, and Trust Engineering
• Mentor engineers and drive platform strategy
• Shape charter and technical roadmaps
