Xcel Energy seeks an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, administer, and secure its Databricks Lakehouse on AWS and GCP. You will enable enterprise analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and cost optimization, while collaborating with data engineering, security, and operations teams.

The role requires leadership across solution lifecycle, governance, and incident management. A hybrid work model with on-site Tuesdays–Thursdays is expected, and the base pay ranges from $130,000 to $165,000

Formación

• Ten years of related functional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.
• Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill set, and able to translate between technical and non-technical concepts.
• Experience with IT service management functions and delivery methodologies (ITIL, Waterfall, Agile).
• Experience administering Databricks on AWS/GCP and cost optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support solution lifecycle technical activities with focus on user experience and performance.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance are integrated into solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to drive scalable, reliable Databricks platforms.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide stakeholder communications.
• Monitor platform health and manage incidents, upgrades, and disaster recovery.
