Human Interest is a fast-growing fintech company building retirement solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. We正在 hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Platform team to own the infrastructure and compute layer that moves data reliably at scale, with an eye toward AI consumption and production-grade AI workloads.

You will shape the architecture, build containerized workloads on AWS, and collaborate with analysts, finance, product, and engineering to ensure data is trustworthy

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software systems.
• Experience designing distributed systems with concurrency, backpressure, and failure handling.
• Hands-on experience running containerized workloads in production on AWS.
• Ability to own complex production systems and CI/CD + IaC practices.
• Experience with workflow orchestration at scale (Airflow or equivalents).
• Desire to leverage AI tools and automation as the primary way work gets done.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed services and compute infra behind the data platform on AWS ECS.
• Own end-to-end design and development of scalable data pipelines from ingestion to delivery.
• Improve event-sourced data movement between production systems and data infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call and own production issues in distributed data systems.
• Ensure data security, PII classification, access controls, encryption, and audit trails.
• Lead evolution toward AI-first data infra, enabling AI tooling and unstructured data access.
• Build interfaces used by data engineers, analysts, and AI systems to move data back to production.
• Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar for testing, code review, and operational readiness.
