The Senior Data & Platform Engineer will design core backend systems and the data platform, enabling engineers and AI workflows to move fast, safely, and reliably across ingestion, transformation, and access layers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of shipping and owning production systems.
• Strong platform mindset and systems thinking.
• Experience with Golang, SQL, Terraform, and AWS.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core backend systems and integrations that power the product.
• Design and build the data platform (orchestration, pipelines, developer workflows).
• Create scalable systems for data ingestion, transformation, and access.
• Design data models and APIs that scale with growth.
• Make decisions about schemas, indexes, migrations, and performance.
• Own infrastructure for data + AI workloads (containers, orchestration, cloud services).
• Enable self-serve data workflows for engineering and product teams.
• Improve observability, reliability, and performance across the data stack.
• Support AI/ML systems (embeddings, vector data, model pipelines).
• Build tooling for document processing, metadata, and normalization.
