Transamerica seeks a Principal Data Engineer to design and develop modern architectures enabling data-driven digital business across the enterprise. You will provide technology leadership, guide architectural decisions, and grow the enterprise data platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and analytics teams, building robust data pipelines and APIs for batch and real-time data. This role offers a path for strategic impact and career growth in a dynamic financial services

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, math, engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years in data engineering, analytics, data warehousing and integration concepts.
• 6+ years architecting big data and real-time streaming in on-prem and cloud environments.
• 4+ years architecting large-scale distributed applications.
• 3+ years Linux operations and shell scripting.
• 3+ years DevOps, CI/CD practices.
• Strong data delivery and governance capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Act as SME with engineers, data scientists, analytics teams, and product owners in an agile environment.
• Architect, build and support cloud and on-premises data infrastructure and tools.
• Design scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time data delivery.
• Lead data APIs and delivery services to support analytics and ML applications.
• Lead the selection and integration of data tools and frameworks.
• Implement enterprise data management best practices: MDM, metadata, data quality, and lineage.
• Assist in strategy, budget, and execution for data initiatives.
