The role focuses on ingestion, streaming, and data governance across multi-region environments, with a strong emphasis on PII handling and data quality. Hybrid work is available in SF or NY, supporting a fast-scaling organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production data infrastructure.
• Deep experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred) and cost management.
• Hands-on experience building CDC and streaming pipelines (Kafka, Debezium, Flink, Spark).
• Experience with managed ingestion tooling (Fivetran, Airbyte).
• Strong workflow orchestration experience (Temporal, Airflow, Dagster).
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience building internal tooling and data governance.
• Knowledge of data residency and PII handling in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform's architecture and technical direction for scalable data infrastructure.
• Build and operate ingestion layer across streaming, batch, CDC, and connectors.
• Land data into Snowflake with freshness, completeness, and cost considerations.
• Own the orchestration platform—scheduling, retries, and dependency management.
• Develop transformation and compute frameworks and self-serve tooling for teams.
• Design and operate real-time stream processing for features and alerts.
• Build trust through quality, observability, and lineage tooling.
• Handle PII, masking, retention, and multi-region residency requirements.
• Set technical bar via design reviews, standards, and mentoring.
