Job summary

RFG Advisory is seeking an experienced Data Platform Lead to own and evolve the firm’s data infrastructure. You will manage Snowflake environments, build reliable pipelines from core systems, and enforce a robust data governance program across the organization.

You will design canonical data models, oversee the metric catalog, and guide data-driven decision making with clear ownership and testing. This role requires leadership, technical depth, and collaboration with IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data platform initiatives with hands-on delivery.
• Deep Snowflake expertise including RBAC, masking, and cost management.
• Strong SQL and dimensional modeling skills; Python for pipelines.
• Experience with data governance, cataloging, and lineage.
• Exposure to CRM/ERP data integration and BI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own Snowflake environment, architectures, environments, compute, and costs.
• Run reliable pipelines from core systems with monitoring for freshness and errors.
• Version-control data logic with tests and defined release processes.
• Define target data architecture and standard integration patterns.
• Ensure data backup, recovery, retention, and security across assets.
• Review projects for data impact and produce high-level designs before work.
• Simplify data landscape and maintain current data flow diagrams.
• Design canonical data model for core entities (clients, accounts, transactions).
• Create a governed catalog of metrics with definitions, owners, and tests.
• Reconcile figures to source systems and the GL.
