Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own the next generation of our enterprise data integration and ingestion platform. You will lead the unified ingestion framework into Snowflake, building scalable, cloud-native pipelines powering analytics across the company.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and oversee the transition from SQL Server to Snowflake while partnering with stakeholders to deliver reliable, production-grade data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on Snowflake experience.
• 4–6 years building data pipelines with Fabric Pipelines.
• 4–6 years Python for automation and tooling.
• 5+ years enterprise SQL experience including CDC (SQL Server).
• 5+ years in Agile/Scrum environments.
• 3+ years leading data engineering initiatives or as technical lead.
• Experience with event-driven architecture or streaming ingestion.
• Experience using Qlik Replicate for data movement.
• Experience using dbt Cloud for ELT/workflow orchestration.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Certifications in dbt Cloud, Snowflake, or Fabric preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect ingestion framework and guide BI engineers on patterns.
• Lead standardized cloud data ingestion into Snowflake.
• Mentor engineers and conduct architecture reviews.
