Job summary

Landmark, a Halliburton company, seeks a Senior Data Architect to define and own the architecture of our next-generation data platform. You will partner with the Chief Architect and platform teams to ensure consistent, scalable data solutions across the enterprise.

You will engage in cross-team reviews, establish patterns for data isolation and residency, and represent the data platform in the architecture community while guiding engineers toward best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with data layers including relational/unstructured data, data virtualization and federation, ETL, lake houses, medallion architectures and data platforms
• Demonstrated track record of defining architectures at a platform level
• Strong written communication skills to produce architectural specs and interface contracts
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical peers across teams through architectural reasoning
• Experience with at least one of AWS and Azure, their database offerings and other services such as object storage, Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the architecture for Landmark’s data platform layer, including architecture diagrams, documentation and architectural decision records
• Partner with security to ensure data platform architecture satisfies security requirements and compliance frameworks
• Define architectural patterns for tenant data isolation and data residency
• Work with domain architects to explain proper use of the data platform
• Review application architectures to verify usage
• Serve as the data platform representative in Landmark’s architecture community
