Job summary

World Emblem International is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect to own the enterprise data foundation. You will assess current data environments, define future architecture, and build pipelines, models, tests, and services to ensure data is accurate, secure, and usable across the business.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in data engineering and ownership of production data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, and Airflow.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
• Strong data modeling for operational systems and analytics.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data warehouses.
• Security, privacy, retention, and audit knowledge.
• Git, code review, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to executives and business leaders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the enterprise data foundation and architecture.
• Audit current data environment and map data flows across systems.
• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines across Business Central, HubSpot, and ecommerce/production systems.
• Create secure APIs and data services for analytics, AI, and internal tools.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and incident response.
• Establish data governance, security, and documentation standards.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with CTO and business teams.
