Job summary

Expression is seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to guide secure, scalable data, analytics, and AI/ML solutions in mission environments. You will shape data pipelines, analytics products, and platform assets across Databricks and Palantir Foundry, ensuring production-ready, governed systems with strong DevOps maturity.

Responsibilities include setting technical standards, creating reusable templates, enabling MLOps, and driving CI/CD, data quality, and governance across complex data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience, incl. 3+ years on Databricks/Palantir Foundry.
• Strong Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL for scalable data processing.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise analytics platforms.
• Hands-on data pipelines, data products, analytics, and ML workflows.
• Knowledge of DataOps, DevOps, and MLOps practices including CI/CD.
• Familiarity with governance, metadata, lineage, and secured environments.
• Deep Databricks expertise: Delta Lake, Workflows, MLflow, Unity Catalog.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance for data pipelines, analytics, and ML workloads.
• Guide platform-native capabilities for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Advise on use of Databricks, Foundry, and cross-platform architectures.
• Transition prototypes into reliable production workflows.
• Establish technical standards for project structure and testing.
• Develop reusable templates and reference architectures.
• Lead CI/CD for jobs, notebooks, models, and data products.
• Define data-quality, monitoring, and governance practices.
