Job summary

Appnovation Technologies is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to define architecture for a governed, zero-copy data platform across Databricks, Snowflake and related sources. You will translate product vision into concrete design specifications and set technical standards for agent-based data consumption.

The role demands a senior hands-on leader with deep data engineering and governance expertise, capable of balancing platform strategy with practical delivery across client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field with 10+ years in solution, enterprise, or data architecture.
• Senior architect with cross-cloud and multi-cloud data-architecture experience.
• Proven data-mesh, zero-copy, and data-product principle application.
• Deep data governance expertise including access controls and policy classification.
• Experience defining data-contract standards and embedding governance metadata.
• Strong IAM for users and machines (OAuth/OIDC).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and documentation skills.
• Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for a governed, zero-copy data platform across cloud sources.
• Produce architecture artifacts and standards; give build-versus-integrate guidance.
• Define catalog and metadata integration patterns across cloud and lakehouse environments.
• Design agent- and MCP-based access patterns exposing governed data to AI tools.
• Establish future-state direction for data products and cross-source composition.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise engineering practices while guiding agent-based consumption.
