Job summary

Archer, in partnership with BlackRock, is seeking a senior technical architect to shape the Aladdin Data Platform. You will define architectural direction and collaborate with engineering teams to turn it into production systems, shared platforms, and measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, and developer productivity.

Working across platform engineering, product, and operations, you will influence APIs, SDKs, and governance while mentoring engineers and leading

Qualifications

Extensive experience in data platform architecture and distributed systems.
Experience designing platforms for AI and unstructured data workloads.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and programming languages (Python/Java).
Experience with streaming, event-driven architectures, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Define target-state architecture for Aladdin Data platforms and guardrails.
Shape platform capabilities for AI/applications across data, APIs, and metadata.
Collaborate with engineering, product and operations from discovery to rollout.
Drive improvements in availability, throughput, latency, and developer productivity.
Mentor engineers and lead cross-platform initiatives to improve design quality and observability.
