Job summary

MANTECH International Corporation seeks a Senior Data Manager to join the Data and AI Practice in Springfield, VA. This on-site role leads overhead imagery preprocessing and data operations, coordinating with the Government and contractors to ensure successful execution of tasks.

The candidate will manage data pipelines, QC, and documentation across EO, FMV, HMI, and SAR modalities, and guide the data operations team with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Geospatial analysis.
• 3+ years of people management experience and strong problem-solving & communication skills.
• Extensive technical project management experience delivering strategic projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial leadership over overhead satellite imagery preprocessing (EO/SAR).
• Act as primary interface to the Government and manage contractors to ensure tasks meet requirements.
• Oversee data operations pipeline from acquisition to ETL across platforms.
• Lead contractor data operations team, offering project management guidance and technical expertise.
• Conduct QC and monitoring of data holdings to meet data schemas and standards.
• Apply engineering best practices to maximize data pipeline efficiency across sensor modalities.
• Maintain data dictionaries, ERDs, and code comments/documentation.
