Job summary

Syllo seeks a Data Specialist to own the data layer that enables our litigation AI platform. You will manage ingestion, processing, and production workflows across active cases, ensuring data integrity at every step.

You will apply systematic QC, diagnose complex data issues, and collaborate with Client Services, Product, and Engineering to improve the platform. Remote in the USA, PT hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in eDiscovery, litigation support, or a data-focused legal role.
• Hands-on EDRM lifecycle experience from collection through production on complex cases.
• Proficiency with at least one major eDiscovery platform; Relativity RCA or equivalent preferred.
• Comfort working with metadata, large datasets, and technically complex data requests.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira or Linear is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with engineering or product teams is a plus.
• High aptitude for learning new software tools and enthusiasm for AI-powered products.

Responsibilities

• Own data operations: Manage ingestion, processing, and production workflows across active cases.
• Validate outputs before they reach the client.
• Own quality control: Apply systematic QC standards across all data outputs.
• Document findings and resolve issues before they reach the client or pod.
• Resolve complex data issues: Diagnose collection anomalies, processing failures, metadata errors, and disputes.
• Advise on data strategy: Help structure data workflows, processing specs, and review protocols.
• Serve as the pod liaison: Manage intake, documentation, and capacity/timelines communication.
• Partner with Engineering and Product: Surface edge cases and provide timely feedback.
• Build documentation: Create processing guides, QC checklists, and workflow standards.
