Job summary

MetLife’s Data & Analytics team seeks a Senior Data Modeler to translate business requirements into scalable data models and to build dimensional schemas within the Databricks Lakehouse. You will design conceptual, logical, and physical models for enterprise analytics and collaborate across business, technology, operations, and governance functions.

The role requires 5–8+ years of data modeling experience, expertise in star/snowflake schemas and data vaults, and hands-on Databricks/Delta Lake

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 5-8+ years of data modeling experience incl. dimensional modeling and data vault.
• Hands-on Databricks and cloud platforms like Azure Synapse or Snowflake are required.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Develop and optimize dimensional models, data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata assets.
• Profile, validate, and lineage analytics to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with Business, Technology, Operations, and Data & Analytics teams.
