Role Overview

As a Senior Data Modeler, you will apply advanced data modeling techniques to design, structure, and optimize data systems that support strategic business insights. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, translate business needs into scalable data models, and ensure data integrity across systems. Your expertise will help resolve complex data architecture challenges and drive efficient, well-documented data solutions that power analytics and decision-making.

Work Responsibilities

Data Modeling

• Design, develop, and maintain data models supporting application and analytical systems.
• Leverage data modeling software to create optimized data designs ensuring consistency, reuse, and efficiency.
• Create visual data models to describe data relationships across business domains.
• Define data structures, relationships, definitions, data types, and constraints to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to deliver data initiatives.

Data Design & Development

• Contribute to large-scale data pipeline design, development, and maintenance.
• Design algorithms supporting large datasets for analytics, including data cleansing and standardization.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including planning, design, development, and support.
• Recommend improvements for data workflow, architecture, security, scalability, and performance.

Background & Skills

• Extensive experience with data modeling techniques (Entity Relationship, Normalization, Dimensional, Data Vault).
• Experience with data modeling tools like SqlDBM, Erwin, DbSchema, ER/Studio.
• Knowledge of cloud data technologies (GCP, BigQuery, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Degree or formal training in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
