Job summary

VSolvit LLC seeks a Data Migration Specialist to serve as the technical lead for securely transferring over 100 TB of sensitive procurement data to a DoD IL4/IL5 cloud environment. The role requires executing a hybrid migration strategy with physical appliances and delta syncing, while ensuring zero data loss, strict encryption, and FIAR audit readiness within a 12-month schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years in cloud data engineering or migration execution.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise-scale cloud data migration frameworks (AWS/Azure/Google GovCloud).
• Understanding of DoD IL4/IL5 requirements, ZTA, and RMF/ATO processes.
• Knowledge of FIAR requirements and immutable data trails.
• Strong scripting to automate data validation and delta scheduling.
• Experience with encryption at rest and in transit and cryptographic key logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bulk offline data transfers using physical cloud appliances (e.g., AWS Snowball Edge, Azure Data Box).
• Design and monitor high-speed secure network pipelines for continuous delta data syncs.
• Develop automated validation scripts to verify data checksums, row counts, and data integrity.
• Ensure data is encrypted at rest and in transit; manage cryptographic keys.
• Coordinate with ISSMs and cloud architects to meet DoD SRG and RMF mandates.
• Plan and execute final data cutover during Go-Live weekend with minimal downtime.
