Job summary

VSolvit is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead secure cloud projects, provide advanced guidance in architecture, automation, and integration, and collaborate with cybersecurity and development teams to meet accreditation and DevSecOps goals.

The role emphasizes ensuring secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, optimization, and alignment with enterprise standards. Candidates should have DoD clearance, a CS-related degree, and 5+ years of cloud engineering experience.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Experience architecting solutions in AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Proficiency with IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration tools.
• Post-employment ethics letter may be required if previously employed by the U.S. government.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Oversee automated deployments and infrastructure pipelines.
• Define access controls, encryption, and system hardening approaches.
• Support cross-functional teams in modernization efforts.
• Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture best practices.
