Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a seasoned Data Migration Engineer to lead the modernization of our data analytics stack, migrating data warehouses to BigQuery and transitioning reporting from Tableau to Looker.

You will drive end-to-end migrations, design ELT/ETL pipelines with Dataflow and Airflow, and map Tableau calculations to LookML while validating performance and security across the cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience migrating Tableau dashboards to Looker/LookML.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills for cloud-scale architectures.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end ELT/ETL migrations on GCP.
• Experience with data governance and data validation in migrations.

Responsibilities

• Migration Execution: Lead end-to-end migration of Tableau dashboards and data sources to BigQuery/Looker, ensuring data integrity.
• GCP Development: Design, build, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and BigQuery.
• BI Modernization: Map legacy Tableau calculations and LOD expressions to LookML models, explores, and dashboards.
• Data Transformation: Utilize SQL and data modeling tools to rebuild data architectures for cloud scalability.
• Validation: Perform rigorous validation to ensure accuracy, performance, and security of migrated data and reports.
