Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer with DBA experience for a remote role based in Texas, US. You will lead data modernization initiatives using Python, dbt, Airflow, Oracle, and SQL, while guiding onshore and offshore teams.

You will own design, development, testing, release, and production support, promoting quality with reusable patterns, automation, and documentation. Collaboration with DBAs and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years solving data engineering problems from design through delivery.
• 5+ years Python production experience including parallelism and batch processing.
• 5+ years SQL experience with complex joins, window functions, large datasets.
• 3+ years dbt Core experience: models, macros, tests, incremental materializations.
• 1+ years Airflow DAG authoring and scheduling integration.
• 1+ years Oracle DBA: schemas, db links, backup/restore, performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design solutions for complex data engineering problems from design to delivery.
• Develop and support dbt workflows across development, QA and production.
• Design and develop reusable Oracle PL/SQL packages, schemas, db links, and jobs.
• Develop Airflow DAGs and manage scheduling, deployment, and monitoring.
• Manage Git branching, merges, CI/CD releases, and code promotion.
• Troubleshoot workflow, DB, and app failures; drive root-cause analysis with DBAs.
• Analyze Oracle performance with wait events, locks, and SQL tuning.
• Baseline database users and ensure environment readiness for dev/test/release.
• Mentor developers on design standards, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Serve as technical lead to stakeholders and maintain runbooks and automation scripts.
