Job summary

SRG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale data-intensive applications and cloud-native platforms in Utah. You will contribute to distributed systems, high-performance APIs, and cloud infrastructure supporting large-scale analytics.

The role emphasizes Go (Golang) development, RESTful APIs, Kafka streaming, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP, with a focus on reliability, testing, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of shipping, operating, and maintaining major software releases.
• Strong Go (Golang) experience for product development and platform features.
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs in high-volume environments.
• Experience implementing stream processing with Apache Kafka.
• Solid automated testing practices including unit tests and TDD.
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker and deploying on Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and operating apps on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing and optimizing data models for relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software products and services using Go (Golang).
• Build and support high-performance, data-intensive RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to architecture, delivery, and maintenance of major releases.
• Develop event-driven and real-time processing with Kafka and streaming architectures.
• Apply best practices: unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Develop and maintain containerized apps using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes.
• Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable systems.
• Create and optimize large-scale database models with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability; identify improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring.
