Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale real-time data streaming solutions in Austin. You will work with Go or Java, Kafka, and distributed SQL to deliver scalable platform services.

Qualifications

Job description

Design, build, and deploy large-scale real-time and batch data streaming solutions, including foundational platform services and APIs. Collaborate with database engineers and architects to develop streaming platform services and influence platform tools, APIs, and architecture.

Requirements: Requires at least 3 years of software development experience and 2 or more years of professional experience with Go or Java, along with experience in Kafka or similar messaging systems, data replication, and optimized SQL for distributed applications. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience, is required; preferred qualifications include cloud application development, RESTful or gRPC services, Kubernetes, Docker, concurrency, and batch or real-time processing experience.
