Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion pipelines powering Workforce Analytics. You will ingest data from enterprise systems—especially Workday—into the data platform using Fivetran, APIs, and file-based methods to ensure timely, complete, and production-ready data for downstream analytics.

You will collaborate with Data Platform, Data Engineering, and HR systems teams to ensure robust monitoring, CI/CD, and efficient

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data integration engineering.
• Strong experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tools.
• Experience integrating data via APIs and flat files.
• Hands-on experience working with Workday integrations or HR data systems.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures.
• Experience building reliable, production-grade data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (Snowflake preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion pipelines.
• Ingest data from Workday and other HR systems into the data platform.
• Ensure ingestion pipelines are robust, efficient, and fault-tolerant.
• Develop expertise in Workday data structures and integration patterns.
• Monitor data quality, completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, HRIS/Workday teams, and data engineers.
