Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a senior data analyst to collect source data from various departments, design and build analyses, and publish metrics dashboards and executive presentations.

You will identify trends in large data sets, automate data workflows, develop data collection systems, and collaborate with management to prioritize information needs while maintaining data quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, CS, Quantitative Business Analysis, or closely related field.
• 5 years of directly related work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Basic understanding of SQL / querying capabilities.
• Experience with end-user reporting tools.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle Process.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-changing, entrepreneurial, tech-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Collect source data from various departments.
• Design and build analyses, trending and forecasting reports using Excel or other technology.
• Publish metrics dashboards and executive presentations.
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Develop processes, tools and templates for efficient, accurate and standardized data analyses and deliverables.
• Leverage automation to optimize data analysis workflows.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Document changes to reporting, processes and procedures while maintaining consistency and data integrity.
• Communicate with internal organizations, external vendors/partners and internal staff.
• Structure and present complex subjects clearly.
• Develop work plans, estimate completion dates and communicate status.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
