Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector seeks a Principal or Sr Principal Data Insight Analyst to oversee Tableau development for the program. This on-site role is located in Melbourne, FL, follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The candidate will design dashboards, perform SQL data extraction, translate complex requirements into visuals, ensure data integrity, and mentor junior analysts. Clearances required and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or related field with required experience (5+ years for Principal; 3+ years with Master’s).
• For Sr Principal: 8+ years (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• Expert-level proficiency in Tableau and strong SQL skills for data extraction and integration.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of dashboards and reporting solutions across data sources.
• Perform advanced data extraction using SQL and analysis in Excel; visualize with Tableau/Power BI.
• Translate business requirements into actionable, visual insights.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports with technical teams.
• Mentor junior analysts on data extraction, analysis, and visualization best practices.
