Job Summary

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Data Insight Analyst to join the DEE IPT to oversee Tableau development for the program. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL and is 100% on-site. The position will follow our 9/80 schedule, allowing employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive dashboards and reporting solutions that integrate multiple data sources.
• Perform advanced data extraction using SQL combined with robust analysis in Excel and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable, visually engaging insights.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports.
• Mentor junior analysts on best practices for data extraction, analysis, and visualization.

Basic Qualifications

• For Principal (level 3): Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 5 years of experience (or Master’s degree with minimum of 3 years).
• For Sr Principal (level 4): Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, or a related field with minimum of 8 years of experience (or Master’s degree with minimum of 6 years).
• Expert‑level proficiency in leading data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Strong SQL skills for efficient data extraction and integration across diverse datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex business challenges into data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in‑scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms or enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Palantir, or Denodo).
• Exposure to advanced analytics frameworks and business intelligence best practices.
• Proven record in developing and implementing reporting best practices and data governance strategies.
• Proficiency in complementary reporting tools or programming languages (Python, R) to extend dashboard functionality.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience in executive‑level communication and strategic advisory roles for data‑driven innovations.
• U.S. Government active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Salary Range

Primary Level: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00. Secondary Level: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00.
