Job summary

Pathward is hiring for a Data Governance lead to establish policies, standards, and processes for data quality, security, and regulatory compliance across the enterprise. You will define ownership, steward data assets, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data practices with business objectives.

The role focuses on metadata, data quality, stewardship workflows, and governance reporting. We seek candidates with strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and enhance business metadata across the enterprise.
• Monitor data quality metrics and perform root-cause analysis.
• Enforce data governance policies and approved usage guidelines.
• Maintain stewardship workflows and documentation updates.
• Collaborate with business and tech teams to align data requirements.
• Lead cross-functional governance forums to drive domain alignment.
• Contribute to governance reporting, quality trends, and stewardship activity.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
• Recommend improvements to data processes and stewardship practices.
• Champion data governance and data literacy across the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.
