Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate, Risk Specialist to join the Global Payment Network Data Governance team. You will help ensure high-quality data, govern compliance with enterprise policies, and enable data-driven decisions while mitigating data lifecycle risks.

The role involves collaborating with executives, data stewards, and tech teams, applying analytical skills to drive automation, and delivering actionable risk insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience required.
• At least 3 years of Risk Management, Data Management, or Financial Services experience.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.

Responsibilities

• Data Governance & Policy Adherence: Enable implementation and oversight of data management practices to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Data Quality Management: Implement and execute programs to ensure quality, accuracy, and reliability of Card’s most important data.
• Tooling & Ecosystem Mastery: Learn and master tools used to support the data management ecosystem to drive automation, efficiency, and better risk oversight.
• Problem Solving & Innovation: Apply analytical skills to solve data management challenges and identify opportunities for process transformation and automation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with AEs, PDSs, and tech teams to align data-driven initiatives with risk and governance.
• Risk Insights & Reporting: Synthesize data and reporting to provide actionable insights to senior leadership regarding data health and compliance.
