Job summary

Ally is seeking a results-oriented Principal to lead enterprise data governance tooling, roadmap, and cross-functional collaboration. You will configure and optimize the data governance platform, translate business needs into scalable capabilities, and guide governance across data catalog, lineage, quality, glossary, and data products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Data Governance Tooling: manage admin, configuration, enhancements, and optimization of the governance platform.
• Manage Governance Tool Enhancement Roadmap: collect, prioritize, document tool requests for alignment with governance objectives.
• Serve as Functional Lead for Governance Capabilities across Data Catalog, Lineage, Quality, Glossary, and Metadata Management.
• Drive Data Quality and Governance Execution: design and implement quality controls, workflows, and remediation for data issues.
• Develop Reporting and Executive Dashboards: create Power BI dashboards and governance metrics for adoption and compliance.
• Automate Governance Processes: use Power Automate and Excel Macros to streamline reporting and data collection.
• Partner Across Business and Technology Teams: collaborate with data owners, stewards, and risk partners to meet governance standards.
• Provide Training and Change Management Support: develop materials and user enablement sessions.
• Deliver Strategic Data Governance Leadership: promote best practices and stay current on AI governance trends.
