Job summary

Vergys LLC seeks a Senior Program Analyst (Data Governance Lead) to drive design, establishment, and management of federal data governance boards on a long-term, mostly remote contract. You will guide executive alignment, mentor a consulting team, and shape the agency's information governance program.

You will lead enterprise-wide governance charters, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing program oversight, ensuring maturity and strategic alignment with client missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Data/Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in information governance, data strategy, or program operations in federal or large enterprise environments.
• Direct experience designing, launching, and managing federal governance boards, councils, or executive steering committees.
• Team management experience: directly managing, guiding, and mentoring teams in federal contracting.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management to influence federal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architect, establish, and facilitate federal data governance boards, steering committees, and working groups from inception to full maturity.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mid-level Program Analysts aligned to client priorities and firm growth.
• Develop enterprise-wide governance charters, frameworks, and operating models.
• Drive consensus among cross-functional federal executives and data owners to ensure board participation.
• Oversee the information governance program's strategy, data stewardship, and operations.
• Lead creation of governance operating materials, SOPs, and strategic guidance.
• Prepare executive briefings on program maturity, risks, and recommendations.
• Perform current-state and future-state assessments to raise governance maturity.
