Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Data Governance to elevate our enterprise data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across business systems.

You will partner with IT and business teams, perform advanced SQL profiling, validate critical business rules, and support MDM initiatives while driving governance metrics and dashboards. You will work hands-on with complex datasets, leverage Power BI for dashboards, and contribute to ERP modernization and AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Data Analysis, MDM, BI, ERP, or Data Engineering.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with data governance platforms like Purview, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data owners to define and enforce governance standards and ownership models.
• Conduct data profiling and quality assessments across enterprise platforms using SQL and reporting systems.
• Design and sustain Power BI dashboards and scorecards for real-time governance insights.
• Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Recommend automation and enhanced validation rules to improve data accuracy and reliability.
• Manage governance for master data domains (Customer, Vendor, Employee, Material, Project, Asset, Organization).
• Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and data lineage to support governance transparency.
• Create governance reports and executive-level presentations for leadership.
