Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Staff Data Fabric Architect to lead the design and implementation of data fabric solutions focused on customer experiences. The role emphasizes scalable, secure architectures and governance for customer-facing applications and analytics.

The candidate will mentor engineers, partner with product and business stakeholders, and drive standards across CSCX while staying current with industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience in Data Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data fabric solutions using data virtualization, data cataloging, and metadata management tools.
• Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives across CSCX.
• Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and scalable data fabric solutions.
• Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets.
• Drive the integration of diverse data sources (on-premise, cloud, third-party) into a unified data fabric, enabling seamless data access and consumption for various applications and users.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams on data fabric principles, design patterns, and implementation strategies.
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks, including security, privacy, and compliance challenges, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric, data management, and customer experience domains.
• Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes comprehensively for knowledge sharing and future reference.
