Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced Sr Staff Data Fabric Architect to lead the design and implementation of data fabric solutions focused on enhancing customer experiences across CSCX. This role shapes scalable, secure architectures and mentors engineers and architects across teams.

Responsibilities include defining architecture strategy, enforcing standards, integrating diverse data sources, and guiding data governance for customer assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years in data architecture.
• Military experience equivalent accepted.
• Experience with data fabric and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data virtualization and metadata tools.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and evangelize the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-centric data initiatives across CSCX.
• Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and scalable data fabric solutions.
• Develop and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets.
• Drive the integration of diverse data sources (on-premise, cloud, third-party) into a unified data fabric, enabling seamless data access and consumption for various applications and users.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams on data fabric principles, design patterns, and implementation strategies.
• Identify and mitigate data-related risks, including security, privacy, and compliance challenges, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric, data management, and customer experience domains.
• Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes comprehensively for knowledge sharing and future reference.
