Job summary

Deloitte’s GPS Data Engineering team is seeking a Delivery Senior Consultant to design, build, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery. You will develop SQL and Python workflows across cloud platforms, support data conversion activities, and collaborate with testing and deployment teams to resolve data issues.

The role emphasizes independent work, clear communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, analytics, mathematics, or another quantitative field
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data conversion
• 4+ years writing SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• 3+ years using Python, Apache Spark, or both for data processing and transformation
• 2+ years with cloud data platforms or ETL/ELT pipeline development and data quality testing
• Ability to travel 0–10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients served
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery
• Executing data conversion activities including profiling, cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and defect resolution
• Developing SQL-, Python-, and cloud-based workflows for integration and reporting
• Collaborating with functional, testing, and deployment teams to document requirements and support releases
• Monitoring data quality and troubleshooting production issues, seeking performance/scale improvements
