Job summary

Netguru is seeking a freelance data engineer to join projects across digital commerce platforms. You will work remotely from anywhere in the EU on a 3-month engagement, starting mid-October, with a rate of €30-€37 per hour.

The role focuses on Snowflake production workloads, SQL data warehousing, dbt, Python, and CI/CD for data pipelines, requiring strong English communication and the ability to navigate partially documented environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Snowflake experience in production.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse modelling skills (star schema, SCD).
• Experience with dbt or a similar data transformation tool.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and troubleshooting across the full data flow.
• Python for data profiling and scripting.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Fluent English (C1).

Project Details

Requirements

Must-have:

• 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in production
• Strong SQL and data warehouse modelling skills (star schema, SCD, data grain, dimensions)
• Experience with dbt or a similar data transformation tool
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and troubleshooting across the full data flow
• Python for data profiling and scripting
• Experience with Git and CI/CD for data pipelines
• Ability to work in a partially documented, inherited environment and independently identify and solve data issues
• Strong communication skills and fluent English (C1)

Nice to have:

• Experience with a semantic layer (AtScale, Cube, dbt Semantic Layer, LookML, Power BI/SSAS)
• Qlik, Tableau or Power BI experience
• Azure ecosystem knowledge
• Experience with legacy BI modernisation
• German language skills
