Job summary

Cintel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer at Redstone Arsenal to design, build, and optimize data pipelines for mission-critical systems.

You will lead ETL development, data migrations, and high-performance processing using Spark, Java, and SQL in a secure DoD environment. This role requires a BS in engineering, 8+ years of data engineering experience, hands-on work with Oracle and PostgreSQL, NIFI, AWS, and Spark/Scala, plus an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience with ETL processes and data migration.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with NIFI, AWS, Spark/Scala, SQL/PLSQL, Linux, Agile, Maven, GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience using Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Active Top Secret security clearance (required at time of hire).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows.
• Lead data migration efforts across enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using Apache Spark.
• Work with relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Write and maintain backend services and data integrations using Java.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system modernization efforts.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and document data solutions in secure environments.
