Job summary

Moultrie is seeking a Data Engineer to join its growing Data and Analytics Team. This role focuses on maintaining and building the foundational data layer in Snowflake, with dbt for transformations and orchestration tools like Airflow/ADF. The team drives decision-making through actionable data insights.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience collaborating with marketing, operations, and finance to align BI products with business needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering with hands-on experience building and maintaining production level data pipelines.
• Strong SQL proficiency: Experience building and maintaining, and optimizing modular logic in dbt.
• Python: Proficiency with using python for ingestion logic, data transformation when necessary, and automation tasks.
• Experience with Git and standard software development practices: version control, code reviews, branching, CI/CD basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain pipelines that move data from source systems into Snowflake with documented ingestion patterns.
• Model data at bronze, silver, gold, and platinum levels in dbt with tests and documentation.
• Build and maintain semantic models for natural language querying.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align BI products with business needs.
