Addison Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to lead design, development, and support of enterprise data pipelines for a Snowflake-based data warehouse. You will collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable data solutions while supporting production environments during transition.

The role emphasizes hands-on data engineering in complex environments, with focus on SQL optimization, data modeling, and data governance.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong production experience with Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, security, and workload optimization.
• Experience building and supporting ETL, ELT, data integration, and orchestration pipelines.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, normalized database structures, historical data management, and Slowly Changing Dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and support enterprise data pipelines and transformations.
• Develop source-to-target ingestion and transformation pipelines for structured enterprise data.
• Write, optimize, test, and troubleshoot complex SQL in Snowflake and Oracle environments.
• Implement transformation logic, dimensional models, historical data loads, and data governance controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to profile data, document business rules, and resolve data quality issues.
• Develop automated data quality checks, monitoring, and operational alerting.
• Create unit, integration, regression, performance, and reconciliation tests for pipelines.
• Tune workloads and queries for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Document data flows, dependencies, and recovery procedures; support processes.
