Job summary

Guidehouse in Washington, DC is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines and governance-ready data assets across the enterprise. You will develop data models, ensure data quality and lineage, implement batch and real-time processing, and collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to support mission needs.

This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree, and 8+ years of experience in data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; relevant field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with data engineering, database management, ETL/ELT, data modeling, system integration, and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines and data integration frameworks.
• Develop and manage data models, schemas, and datasets with quality and lineage controls.
• Implement batch and real-time processing and monitor data flows across platforms.
• Build data stores, APIs, and infrastructure for reliable access to trusted data assets.
• Implement data governance, access controls, retention policies, and security measures.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate data sources and support evolving needs.
• Produce documentation, data standards, and implementation guidance.
