Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to scale data infrastructure, automation, and tools. This hybrid role requires located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle/Sunnyvale. You will partner with stakeholders to design and deploy large-scale data models and pipelines for the Data Lake and Data Warehouse.

You will own data quality, monitoring, and ETL reliability while collaborating with engineering and product teams. Strong SQL, distributed computing, and BI tool experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or BI
• 3+ years in data engineering, analytics, or related roles
• Proficiency in Python/Java
• 3+ years with ETL orchestration tools and AWS/GCP
• Strong SQL and distributed computing fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Understand data requirements with partners and stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering, product teams, and third parties to collect data
• Design and implement large-scale data models and pipelines for data lake/warehouse
• Develop data quality checks, QA, and monitoring routines
• Improve reliability and scalability of ETL processes
• Manage data product portfolio delivering high-quality data
• Mentor and onboard other engineers on the team
