Job summary

Audacy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Digital Data Engineering team in Denver.

You will design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, work across batch and streaming workloads, and collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to scale data solutions in a massive digital audio ecosystem. You will mentor other engineers, improve data models and warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake), and ensure data quality and governance while staying ahead of evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Airflow (Cloud Composer) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
• Develop and optimize data models and dimensional warehouses for analytics and BI
• Create robust ETL/ELT processes for ingesting and transforming terabytes of data
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues and determine root causes
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical backlogs
• Lead and mentor data engineers to follow standards and best practices
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of data infrastructure
• Implement data quality, governance, and GDPR/privacy controls
• Document pipelines and data workflows for the data catalog
• Evaluate emerging technologies for relevance to the stack
