Job summary

Audacy is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead scalable data infrastructure across its massive digital audio ecosystem. You will design batch and streaming data pipelines, optimize data models, and ensure reliability and performance of the data platform.

You’ll mentor other data engineers and collaborate with analytics, product, and data science teams to deliver data-driven insights. You’ll implement data quality and governance practices, privacy-first approaches, and stay ahead on emerging

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years Python and SQL expertise.
• Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake) and Google data tools.
• 3+ years Airflow (Cloud Composer) and data modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• GCP and BigQuery experience preferred.
• Build and optimize data models and dimensional warehouses for analytics and BI.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for terabytes of data.
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues and determine root causes.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and a backlog.
• Lead and mentor other data engineers to follow evolving standards and best practices.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the data infrastructure.
• Define data quality, governance, and privacy practices (GDPR compliance).
• Document pipelines and workflows to improve the data catalog.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and assess relevance.
