Job summary

Recharge is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data models and infrastructure powering internal business analytics and customer-facing data products. Your work will empower data analysts to derive deeper strategic insights from our data and surface data and metrics to merchants.

You will design ELT pipelines, implement data strategies with business and product teams, and build end-to-end interfaces for analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a data engineering role with scalable data pipelines/analytics
• 3+ years building data pipelines and models for large data volumes into a Dimensional Data Warehouse/Data Lake
• Experience with data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, MySQL, Postgres, RDS) and cloud stacks (AWS, GCP)
• Experience powering external, customer-facing analytics apps in addition to internal analytics
• Knowledge of Kimball and Inmon data warehousing methodologies
• Experience with ETL tools (FiveTran, dbt, Python)
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Cloud Composer)
• Hands-on with data infra (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines, ELT and infrastructure for internal analytics and external data products
• Create automated monitoring, auditing and alerting for data quality
• Collaborate with business and solution teams to implement data strategies and data models
• Deliver data and metrics via AI/LLM tools (e.g., Claude) with a governed semantic layer
• Improve operations and performance of the data warehouse
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Redesign data processes using AI to boost productivity and data quality
