T-Mobile Advertising Solutions (T-Ads) is building privacy-first data products powered by advanced machine learning and cloud technologies. We are adding a Senior Data Engineer to join our team, where you’ll work with modern data engineering tools and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers.

You will design scalable pipelines, leverage Python, Spark, and SQL, and contribute to a culture of learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 5 years of related work experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Study areas: Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 4-7 years with streaming data, relational/non-relational databases, and distributed processing tech.
• 4-7 years building data pipelines with Python, SQL, Spark and libraries.
• 4-7 years cloud-based services on GCP (Airflow, Kafka).
• Strong background in software engineering, large-scale data and algorithms, cloud architecture, and design thinking.
• Experience with GIS/geospatial data processing preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and DataOps tools.
• Knowledge of Google BigQuery and graph datasets/databases.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data engineering solutions to support data pipelines and analytics.
• Iterate on scalable big data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Write robust code in Python, Spark and Scala.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and data engineering capabilities.
• Assist leaders in estimating, planning, and scoping work to meet objectives.
• Other duties/projects as assigned by management.
