Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build mission‑critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You will help power TRM's platforms used by public and private sector investigators to trace illicit activity and build operating pictures of threat networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in scalable API/data platforms.
• Strong Python programming and SQL (or SparkSQL) skills.
• Experience with BigQuery and Postgres data stores.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data services analyzing blockchain activity at petabyte scale.
• Design data models and pipelines with sub-second query latency.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers.
• Write clear design docs and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and analysts to raise team's capabilities.
