Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate data warehouses and data lakes for mission-driven projects. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, work with Postgres/SQL/Python/Scala/Spark, and use Databricks, NiFi, and cloud data services on AWS and Azure.

Collaboration with analysts and developers in a fast-paced, agile environment is essential. Clearance or eligibility may be required for certain projects; strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation

Qualifications

6+ years of experience designing data warehouse or data lake, RESTful API models, event processing, or business intelligence for software systems.
Experience building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines with large-scale batch and streaming data.
Proficiency in coding languages including Postgres, SQL, Python, Scala, Spark, or Java.
Experience with Spark, NiFi, or Databricks and data lake tuning for cloud storage and performance.
Knowledge of data management solutions covering data catalog, usage, governance, and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design and operationalize scalable data platforms for clients in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows across disparate sources.
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers to deliver mission-driven data solutions.
