Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help build pipelines and platforms that organize structured and unstructured data for mission-driven projects including fraud detection and cancer research. You will work with a cross-functional team to develop scalable data solutions and support data-driven decisions.

You will apply Python/SQL/Scala/Java skills, implement ETL/ELT workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver analytic-ready data for clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• 3+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.
• Experience using version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
• Guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable data platforms for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to translate data into actionable insights for mission-critical needs.
